J\u00e1 os limitantes dizem respeito a limita\u00e7\u00e3o de certo amino\u00e1cido em um ingrediente ou dieta. Dietas a base de milho e soja s\u00e3o limitantes em Lisina, Metionina, treonina e triptofano. Ainda est\u00e1 ligado ao metabolismo lip\u00eddico, e a sua defici\u00eancia propicia uma maior deposi\u00e7\u00e3o de tecido adiposo.
